We will always need office spaces and here’s why!

When one thinks about office space, the thoughts that come to mind are the speculations about how it will evolve in future. Is it an elementary need or is it going to vanish, considering the trends that storm the market every few years? But as we reflect on the past traditions, it becomes clear that office spaces are more about business and design.

The pandemic has forced our stand on workplace and taught us to be more intentional about the place where we work. Although it has been a tough transition, this has provided us options for working and has increased the amount of flexibility needed to get our work done.

There is no going back now as the basics of workplace have also shifted and a standardised office solution will be of little use.

Approaches like ‘people-focused’ are now imperative an concept that must be considered. Every organization has its own set of functions and organizational structure that should be noted before arriving to the applications of space

But why do we have office space? The simplest response to this is that offices house people and operations. With that in mind, the office space now becomes a strategic and tactical tool that one has to achieve the organization’s purpose and goals.

Building a workplace to simply house talent and an operation is no longer a sufficient response. That kind of thinking is wasteful. Unfortunately, many are still stuck in this outdated way of thinking.

Many people are still approaching the workplace looking for a standardized solution. But these solutions fail to recognize what is important and unique about each individual organization that occupies the workplace.
